1/2 kilo skinless boneless chicken breast cut into strips
125 ml commandaria wine
2 cinnamon sticks
corn or sunflower oil for frying
salt and pepper

Chicken cooked in commandaria wine Directions

  1. combine the meat, commandaria wine and cinnamon sticks. leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes to one hour at room temperature.
  2. remove meat from the marinade, reserve the marinade, drain the meat on kitchen paper.
  3. heat oil in a saucepan and fry the met until brown.
  4. remove cinnamon sticks from the reserved marinade, add to meat and leave to cook.
  5. almost all the liquid should evaporate to leave a thick sauce.
